Dr Ankita Roy is a well-established and experienced city based GP, specialising in both general and mental health. She is well regarded by her patients, many of whom have been with her for years. She brings warmth and compassion to her consultations, along with dedication and highly developed clinical skills.
Dr Roy is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). She graduated as a GP specialist from the University of Sydney in 1999, then spent a further three years studying Psychiatry at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney, and successfully completed the Part 1 FRANZCP exams. She decided to change specialities after starting a family and has worked in general practice since 2002.
In 2003, Dr Roy worked in the UK. Since her return, she has undertaken further training in mental health. She is an accredited Level 2 Mental Health GP Practitioner and has taught other GPs in this field. She was also the GP advisor in immunisations for the Eastern Suburbs Division of General Practice from 2005-2012.
Dr Roy worked in a general practice clinic in Maroubra, and an HIV clinic in Darlinghurst before moving to a city based practice. She also spent time in India, from January to June 2015, working as a volunteer in a Ram Krishna Mission hospital in Kolkata.
Dr Ankita Roy is sensitive and perceptive, and her patients greatly value her care.

Patients who require a double appointment (45 – 60 minutes) can request one with reception staff, and the cost is $520.
